2013 Lamborghini Campoleone IGT Sangiovese / Merlot 0.75 Ltr. Rosso
picture of

Deep, almost ink-black color with purple hues. Ripe aromas of lush fruit, tobacco and chocolate. In the mouth this intense and overwhelming character is continued and we discover black currants, cherries, coffee, cedar wood and cocoa. Strikingly balanced structure and fine, noble tannin. This is one of the best wines of the region and easily sits next to the great Tuscan toppers!

The flagship of the domain is an experience in itself and therefore certainly does not need food to do justice, but is a more than noble companion of festive classics and other exclusive meat dishes.

climate

Continental climate with Mediterranean influences. Warm and dry summers with occasional rainfall due to the proximity of the mountains and mild winters with limited but regular rainfall. Many sun hours.

soil

Slightly slopes with southern to southwest-oriented vineyards. Soil of clay and clay and limestone in the depth.

vinification

50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot. Very strict harvesting standards and selection. 18 months of maceration on the skins followed by malolactic fermentation on French oak. The wine then ripens further per grape variety in the same French barrels. After that the blending follows and it will rest for another 6 months in the bottle.
